Consultation
Dare to be Desert will conduct a site visit to have a conversation with the client about existing conditions and to explore landscape choices. A complete written report will be emailed with plant suggestions discussed.
Landscape Design
A design plan includes the area drawn to scale with plant selections for the outdoor space, A file is shared with plant photos and respective names. Hard copies are provided as well as a PDF. The design plan organizes the layout of landscape functions like shade trees and vegetable beds.
Planters
We custom plant containers for many occasions. Planters are a wonderful way to bring colour and life to a patio or deck, entryway, and seating area. For the past 2 years we have filled planters for Desert Botanical Garden's fundraiser "Dinner on the Desert". Let us fill yours with a lovely design.
Source, Deliver, and Install
We source our plants from the best nurseries in the valley and deliver them to you. Our team uses the Landscaper School methods for proper planting. There is a correct plant for every spot in your yard. Dare to be Desert will help you identify that specimen and get it in the ground.
Lawn
Removal
Let us remove your Bermuda lawn and replace it with a desert-friendly landscape. We use a mechanical approach vs chemical application. Bermuda grass is invasive. We use a sod cutter to remove as much of the root system as possible. Pull possible sprouts out by hand vs toxic sprays for healthy pollinator spaces.
Maintenance Support
Dare to be Desert will provide you with a watering schedule for your plants and the information you need to maintain your beautiful outdoor space. We do not use chemical applications for weeds. These toxins build up in the environment and are harmful to pollinators like the Monarch Butterfly.
